Your Carbon Offset is Your impact on future of the earth

Your Carbon footprint is the total amount of greenhouse gases that you generated by your actions. By lowering your carbon footprints, just with small changes in your life, you can start making a big difference for the future of US and our home EARTH.

Calculate Your Footprint

WPP Turkey People, Culture & Sustainability Team; C02 Footprint Calculator

The purpose of this corporate entrepreneurship project is increase the awareness on Global Climate Change.

According to Wikipedia;

"A carbon footprint is the total greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions caused by an individual, event, organization, service, place or product, expressed as carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e).[1] Greenhouse gases, including the carbon-containing gases carbon dioxide and methane, can be emitted through the burning of fossil fuels, land clearance and the production and consumption of food, manufactured goods, materials, wood, roads, buildings, transportation and other services.[2] In most cases, the total carbon footprint cannot be calculated exactly because of inadequate knowledge of data about the complex interactions between contributing processes, including the influence of natural processes that store or release carbon dioxide. For this reason, Wright, Kemp, and Williams proposed the following definition of a carbon footprint: A measure of the total amount of carbon dioxide (CO2) and methane (CH4) emissions of a defined population, system or activity, considering all relevant sources, sinks and storage within the spatial and temporal boundary of the population, system or activity of interest. Calculated as carbon dioxide equivalent using the relevant 100-year global warming potential (GWP100).[3] The global average annual carbon footprint per person in 2014 was about 5 tonnes CO2e.[4] Although there are many ways to calculate a carbon footprint, the Nature Conservancy suggests that the average carbon footprint for a U.S. citizen is 16 tons.[5] This is one of the highest rates in the world.[6] The use of household carbon footprint calculators originated by oil producer BP as an "effective propaganda" campaign to shift responsibility of climate change-causing pollution away from the corporations and institutions that created a society where carbon emissions are unavoidable and onto personal lifestyle choices.[7]

Project Phases

Project Phases

Phase 1

Project Launch

Project launch with Carbon Footprint Calculator

Phase 2

My Sustainable Development Network

- User login will be integrated to the project to enable users to save their targets.

- Company and Department based target setting and compasion of target reach will be enabled.

Phase 3

Metaverse Adaptation Of SDG

Is it going to change our habits, or way of our living? If yes, more we will spend time in Metaverse means, the more energy we will consume, which may increase our carbon emission.

So, may be "How Much Time Do You Spend in Metaverse" will be a question for Carbon Offset calculation. Therefore, we will focus on it to find the best integration of Metaverse related energy consumotion to CO2 Offset calculation formula.

Sustainable Development Goals

Sustainable Development Goals

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. At its heart are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are an urgent call for action by all countries - developed and developing - in a global partnership. They recognize that ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth – all while tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests.

End poverty in all its forms everywhere
